Flexible, Population-Focused Outpatient Care
Flowstate’s Outpatient Services are designed to meet individuals where they are by addressing real-world barriers to accessing mental health care. Our outpatient programs include general therapy and medication management alongside specialized partnerships developed for specific populations, including health plan members, dental professionals, students, and seniors.
We primarily deliver care through telehealth to maximize access across Iowa, while intentionally offering in-person services in schools and senior living communities where face-to-face care provides the greatest benefit. This hybrid approach allows us to remain flexible, responsive, and clinically effective.
Built Through Collaboration
Each outpatient program at Flowstate is created in direct response to a need identified by our partners. Whether reducing stigma in professional communities, improving access for underserved insurance populations, or embedding care directly into schools and senior living facilities, our focus is on building solutions that fit the people and systems we serve.
Across all outpatient programs, Flowstate provides psychotherapy, medication management, care coordination, and referral support, ensuring timely access to care and continuity beyond the first appointment.
Looking Ahead
Flowstate continues to explore opportunities to develop new population-specific outpatient programs in collaboration with community partners across Iowa. Our vision includes expanding client-facing telehealth services, strengthening existing partnerships, and developing scalable outpatient models that maintain quality, compassion, and local connection.
IADAPT
Mental Health Support for Iowa’s Dental Professionals
IADAPT was created to address the unique mental health challenges faced by dentists and their families across Iowa. Through a partnership with Delta Dental and the Iowa Dental Association, Flowstate provides confidential outpatient support designed to reduce stigma, lower barriers to care, and meet dentists where they are.
The program blends psychotherapy and executive coaching, recognizing that clinical mental health concerns and the demands of running a practice are often deeply connected. Engagement has exceeded early expectations, with most participants continuing care beyond the initial underwritten sessions, demonstrating the value and impact of this tailored approach.
IADAPT continues to normalize conversations around mental health within professional dental spaces and serves as a model for population-specific outpatient programming.
MOLINA HEALTHCARE PARTNERSHIP
Expanding Access to Behavioral Health Care Across Iowa
Flowstate partners with Molina Healthcare of Iowa to increase access to timely, high-quality behavioral health services for members across the state. This partnership is designed to reduce barriers to care while supporting continuity through therapy, psychiatric medication management, and coordinated outpatient services.
To date, Flowstate has served more than 500 Molina members, with an average time of less than two weeks from initial member contact to the first appointment, including any delays related to outstanding client paperwork. This rapid access model helps ensure members receive support when it is needed most, minimizing gaps in care and reducing the risk of worsening symptoms.
Through close collaboration with Molina care teams, Flowstate prioritizes efficient referrals, streamlined intake workflows, and treatment plans tailored to each member’s clinical needs and personal circumstances. The program is delivered entirely via telehealth, allowing members to access care quickly and consistently regardless of location. Flowstate is consistently recognized as a highly responsive partner, maintaining clear communication and timely follow-through to support care teams and members throughout the referral and treatment process.
As the partnership continues to grow, Flowstate remains focused on strengthening care coordination, improving access points, and connecting more Molina members to effective behavioral health support. By aligning clinical expertise with payer collaboration, the program supports improved outcomes and a more seamless care experience for individuals and families across Iowa.
SCHOOL SERVICES
Supporting Student Mental Health Where It Matters Most
Flowstate’s School-Based Services provide free, in-person therapy for students within the West Central Valley Community School District, serving rural communities across Adair, Dallas, and Guthrie counties. With support from the Iowa Primary Care Association, this program embeds mental health care directly into schools, ensuring students can access therapy without cost, transportation barriers, or missed school time.
Since launching in 2023, the program has supported dozens of students each week across elementary, middle, and high school settings. Therapy sessions are conducted in person during the school day, helping normalize mental health care and create a safe, familiar space for students to be heard and supported.
By reducing stigma and removing access barriers, the program promotes emotional well-being, resilience, and improved academic, social, and behavioral outcomes. Flowstate envisions a sustainable model that continues to expand access, empower students, and make emotional health a cornerstone of education.
SENIOR SERVICES
Outpatient Mental Health Care for Older Adults

We prioritize rapid referrals, timely intake appointments, and care plans that reflect the unique life experiences and needs of older adults. Whenever possible, services are provided in person to support connection, comfort, and continuity.
As the program grows, Flowstate remains focused on strengthening facility partnerships, improving workflows, and expanding access to high-quality psychiatric care for seniors across the state.
